It is a natural that all great sifus loves to have their students to surpass them, otherwise , the sifu will feel he is not doing his job.Only cult leader who uses his students as slave or cash machines to serve his selfish needs  do not want the students to surpass him.

It is a natural that martial art and evolve to be better and grow.  Thus, a great student is not expected to be a yes man. Bruce Lee is a good example for wcners. He creates his own style and claim what he does openly.

 

Be not a Ma Ning Er 馬寧兒， the character in the shaolin movie, who pretend to be nice but sold off his shaolin teachers to the Qing gorvenment for his own title and money .

In Chinese culture, Ma Nina Er is those who bully the teacher and destroy the ancestors 欺师灭祖。A lier and a betrayer,  A typical Ma Ning Er type is those who went from one teacher to other teacher to cheat for training and information for his own title , money , and business gain. and then turn around bad mouth, put down, and deny the help receive from the teachers.  This type of person  don’t have the capability to stand on his own feet like Bruce Lee to address what is the facts. But build his reputation with lie and bad mouth his teachers. Teacher is like a root of a tree, without the teacher one simply doesn’t have root to grow, but end up jumping from one stories to another stories for cover up and finally dried out.

 

the character of a person is the root of his success, be like Bruce Lee , but not the Ma Ning Er, for the world is full of advance players and professional who is capable to read signature of technology or the skill level of oneself. Never expect others is stupid. And never expect the historian will not give one the Ma Ning Er title after analyze ones action and facts.

One simple can’t plug up ones ears to steal the bell and not get caught. If one respect oneself one doesn’t practice this type of idiotic act.

if one doesn’t repend and change before it is too late, dry out  like a tree without root is certainly predictable. That is the law of cause and effect.
